The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston recently invited the Board of Directors from the MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid to hold their latest meeting at the center in the U.S. as a demonstration of the close relationship between the two institutions.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston recently invited the Board of Directors from the MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid to hold their latest meeting at the center in the U.S. as a demonstration of the close relationship between the two institutions. During the visit the Spaniards were able to tour the facilities at the North American cancer center and to learn of their latest innovations.

Mid-2011, MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid renewed their agreement of collaboration with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston which regulated the direct collaboration between Houston and Madrid on research and clinical analysis projects. Furthermore, the agreement laid down the guidelines to promote the exchange of ideas and approaches between teams at the two centers by means of videoconference, scientific programs and conferences both in Madrid and in Houston, to the benefit of the institutions and with the aim of improving the way more complicated clinical cases are approached.
