CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid)

Fluid similar in composition to blood serum, located in the spinal cord and brain. It is clear with few cells.

In some cases, your doctor will require a CSF sample for analysis, which will be obtained by lumbar puncture. (See lumbar puncture).
